Year is 2001. After more than 20 years of work in the industry, I have decided to create my own consultancy firm.

Creating Golden Solutions has enabled me to help many companies work with methods, traceability and especially efficiency!

Today, almost 2010, Golden Solution will be 9, and I am proud of the many companies that I have served in Software Engineering, Process and Quality, Bug Tracking,  Requirements Management, Configuration Management, and other CMM process areas.

I like to tell myself: “Remember: Tool Isn’t User Friendly or User Isn’t Process Friendly” … I will enable you to implement the process that is most adequate to your needs, chose the tool that is the most suitable for its users and together bring your company to favorable ROI … save time and money!

Before reading this blog you will probably want to know who the woman behind it is.

My name is Leah Goldin and I am one of the first professionals in requirement management, a Dr. (PhD) in Computer Science and a seasoned consultant.

After finishing my B.Sc. in Computer Science (with distinction!) from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel in 1978, I continued with a M.Sc. in Computer Science and then with a PhD in the same discipline. The subject of my PhD thesis was “A Method for Aiding Requirements Analysts in Requirements Elicitation”. (link to publication inside web site)

Back then, requirement elicitation was at its very beginning and it took me several years till I managed to do the first business implementation of a conceptual requirements model.

Today, I am the CEO of Golden Solutions, and an independent consultant specializing in Software Engineering, Process and Quality and I am dividing my time between consulting and academic teaching.

I am Head of Software Engineering Department at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, following other academic duties:  Head of the Software Engineering department at the Jerusalem College of Engineering, working with Afeka- Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering and the Academic College of Tel-Aviv Jaffa.

Business-wise, during more than 20 years of experience developing embedded systems, I have filled various management and technical roles in software development, requirements engineering, software quality assurance, and process improvement. The companies I have worked for include Rafael, Israel Aerospace Industries, Comverse, NICE Systems, Mercury (today HP), NDS, Sapiens, Interwise (today AT&T), Seabridge (today Nokia Siemens Network), Orbotech and others.

On the institutions side, I am a senior member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc) and currently serve as the Chair of the Israeli Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society.
